Kenta Maeda twirls six strong innings for Dodgers in win
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Kenta Maeda pitched six innings of one-run ball in a win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday.
The one blemish came on an Aaron Hill sac fly during a 27-pitch first inning for Maeda. He allowed three hits, fanned six and walked two on the day. Maeda has now allowed one run or less in eight of the past 16 times he's toed the rubber. Next up is a home date with the Baltimore Orioles.
Maeda now owns a 2.82 ERA and 1.09 WHIP across 92 2/3 innings of work this season. He's striking out 8.64 batters per nine frames on the year and is 7-5 through 16 outings.
