Yankees move CC Sabathia's next start to Monday
New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia's next scheduled start has been pushed back a day to Monday against the Chicago White Sox.
The Yankees are opting to give the hefty lefty an additional day of rest after he was tagged for 11 scores over his past two trips to the mound. Chad Green will be called back up to make a spot start.
Sabathia ranks inside the top-100 in the majors with a 2.00 nERD this season. He has recorded a 3.17 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 18.65 strikeout percentage across 76 2/3 innings of work. It's his lowest strikeout rate since 2004. The 35-year-old is 5-5 in 13 starts in 2016.
