Jonathan Schoop stays busy at plate in Orioles' victory
Baltimore Orioles infielder Jonathan Schoop doubled twice, walked and scored three times Wednesday against the San Diego Padres.
That gives Schoop seven walks in June, after receiving just a combined five free passes in the first two months of the season. He and the Orioles continue to roll, giving him 18 scores in his past 11 contests. Schoop also has eight games with multiple hits in that same span.
Schoop is now recording career-highs with a .301 batting average and .517 slugging percentage, while also turning in an impressive .331 on-base percentage in 302 appearances at the plate. He's tallied 13 home runs and 46 RBI's on the year.
