Trevor Story will test finger during Rockies' batting practice Tuesday
Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story will test out his injured finger by throwing during batting practice on Tuesday, and if all feels well he'll be in the starting lineup.
Story took a pitch to the finger in the ninth inning on Sunday and was replaced by Cristhian Adames on Monday against the Toronto Blue Jays. Depending on how things go prior to the game, Adames would be in place to fill in for Story again on Tuesday.
Story is hitting .271/.339/.559 with 19 home runs (tied for seventh in the majors) and 50 RBI's (tied for 20th) in 320 plate appearances this season. His 3.25 nERD currently ranks 27th in the big leagues. Our models project the 23-year-old to record another 41 RBI's and 12 jacks in 321 appearances at the plate over the remainder of the year.
