Royals activate Alex Gordon from disabled list

The Kansas City Royals activated outfielder Alex Gordon from the 15-day disabled list Saturday.

What It Means:

Gordon has been out since May 23rd with a broken scaphoid bone in his right hand. He was having a pretty down year before getting hurt, but his recent rehab stint was pretty successful, so we'll see if he can parlay that into a boost at the plate back healthy with the Royals.

Gordon was 8-for-22 with a homer and a double during his rehab in the minors. He was struggling prior to his injury, slashing .211/.319/.331 with four home runs, three stolen bases and a .292 wOBA in 166 plate appearances. Our models currently project him to hit .240/.323/.382 with seven taters, four steals and a .308 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
