Yankees activate Mark Teixeira from disabled list

The New York Yankees activated first baseman Mark Teixeira from the 15-day disabled list.

What It Means:

Teixera has been out since June 3rd with torn cartilage in his right knee. He is back in the Yankees' lineup on Saturday at first base. He will hit sixth against Ervin Santana.

Teixeira may not be much of an offensive infusion for the Yankees, as he struggled with a .249 wOBA, three homers, 12 RBI's in 188 plate appearances prior to his injury.
