Nick Ahmed taking a seat Friday as Diamondbacks face Rockies
Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed (hip) is out of the starting lineup again Friday.
What It Means:
Ahmed is treating "hip issues," but is expected back on Saturday, according to manager Chip Hale. Phil Gosselin will play second base, while Jean Segura starts at shortstop.
Ahmed has posted a .247 wOBA and .211/.258/.313 slash with four home runs and 19 RBI's in 246 plate appearances this season. Our models currently project him to log another four jacks and 21 RBI's over the remainder of the year.
