Steve Pearce (elbow) in Rays' lineup
Tampa Bay Rays left fielder/second baseman Steve Pearce (elbow) is back in the starting lineup on Tuesday night.
He'll start at second base and bat cleanup versus Royals right-hander Dillon Gee. Pearce made an early exit Monday with elbow discomfort, but he told reporters Tuesday that it's nothing more than inflammation.
Pearce is hitting .303/.394/.541 in 142 plate appearances this season and has recorded eight home runs and 20 RBI's. Our models currently project him to post a .335 wOBA with a .246/.325/.455 slash over the remainder of the season.
