Colin Moran optioned to Astros' Triple-A affiliate
The Houston Astros optioned third baseman Colin Moran to Triple-A Fresno.
What It Means:
Outfielder Carlos Gomez is expected to be activated from the disabled list on Tuesday and will take his place on the active roster.
Moran batted just .105 (2-for-19) with two RBI's, six strikeouts and one walk in 20 plate appearances during his first stint in the majors. Our algorithms projected him for 193 more major-league plate appearances this year, and a .283 wOBA, but his progress on that will have to wait.
