Alex Rodriguez hitless with two whiffs in return to Yankees' Thursday
New York Yankees designated hitter Alex Rodriguez went 0-for-4 and struck out twice against the Toronto Blue Jays in his return from the disabled list Thursday.
The Yankees had just four hits on the day, so Rodriguez wasn't the only one to have a bad game. Still, one wonders if he might fade into a part-time role if he doesn't hit soon. The Yankees might be better off with Carlos Beltran serving the DH role and Aaron Hicks in the outfield.
Rodriguez is now hitting .184/.262/.421 with a .297 wOBA across 84 plate appearances this season. He has five home runs and 12 RBI's with two stolen bases on the year.
