Angels' Tyler Skaggs (elbow, biceps) could make a rehab start this week
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs (elbow, biceps) could begin a minor league rehab assignment this weekend.
That's the word from Angels' manager Mike Scioscia. Skaggs is on his way back from Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery and came down with biceps tendinitis earlier this month. He'll likely be asked to make several appearances in the minors before the Angels consider him an option for their starting rotation.
Skaggs hasn't pitched since 2014, when he posted solid numbers -- 3.74 SIERA, 18.5 percent strikeout rate and 6.5 percent walk rate -- in 18 games.
