Cleveland's Yan Gomes sitting Tuesday against White Sox
Cleveland Indians catcher Yan Gomes is out of the starting lineup on Tuesday night against the Chicago White Sox.
Chris Gimenez will start at catcher and bat eighth versus Chicago lefty Chris Sale. Gomes has six home runs and 21 RBI's in 34 games this season, but he's sitting on a rough .173/.207/.362 overall batting line.
Gomes owns a wOBA of just .243 and his .182 BABIP is fourth lowest among hitters with at least 130 plate appearances this season. Our models currently project him to hit .235/.285/.404 with 12 home runs and a .292 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
