Travis D'Arnaud (shoulder) has resumed throwing for Mets

New York Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud (shoulder) has resumed throwing in California.

What It Means:

D'Arnaud was shut down earlier this month after he felt renewed discomfort in his rotator cuff, but he has made progress since receiving a platelet-rich plasma injection. The plan calls for him to travel to Port St. Lucie, Florida later this week to ramp up baseball activities, but the best-case scenario is that he's likely a few weeks away from joining the Mets.

d'Arnaud played just 13 games this season (52 plate appearances) before getting hurt, slashing .196/.288/.261 without a home run and a .255 wOBA. He needs to get back on the field first, but our models currently project d'Arnaud to hit .239/.325/.423 with three home runs, 11 RBI's and a .323 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
