Jake McGee collects ninth save of the season, Rockies top Diamondbacks

Colorado Rockies pitcher Jake McGee picked up his ninth save of the season Wednesday in a win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

What It Means:

McGee made Nolan Arenado's go-ahead homer stick with a clean ninth inning, retiring Jean Segura, Welington Castillo and Paul Goldschmidt in order. The left-hander is still sitting on a rough 4.97 ERA, but much of the damage came in one game (April 24 against the Los Angeles Dodgers).

McGee entered this contest with a 1.63 WHIP and 7.69 strikeout percentage across 11 2/3 innings.
