Nate Karns collects win after working six-plus innings for Mariners
Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Nate Karns picked up a win after yielding three runs in six-plus innings Monday against the Oakland Athletics.
Karns allowed one run in six innings before giving up a single, a homer and a double to the three batters he faced in the seventh. Fortunately, Vidal Nuno and Nick Vincent combined to strand the base runner, keeping Karns in line for the win in a 4-3 game.
Karns is 3-1 with a 3.81 ERA and 24.37 strikeout percentage across 28 1/3 innings and five starts this season.
