Kolten Wong hits one of five Cardinals' homers Monday
St. Louis Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong finally notched his first extra-base hit of the season Monday, smacking a two-run homer in a win over the Philadelphia Phillies.
Wong looked awful in striking out in his first two plate appearances, but he scorched the ball on a lineout to center field in his third at-bat and then went deep in his fourth trip to the dish. He's got an ugly .233/.304/.283 batting line on the season, but perhaps this will get Wong going.
Wong has also posted a .276 wOBA in his 69 appearances while recording two stolen bases.
