Dodgers' Josh Ravin gets 80-game PED suspension

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Josh Ravin has been suspended 80 games without pay after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance.

What It Means:

The story was first reported by Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports. Ravin tested positive for Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide 2. The 28-year-old was already on the 60-day disabled list after breaking his left (non-throwing) arm in a car accident during spring training. He's the third player to receive a PED suspension in the past two weeks, joining Dee Gordon and Chris Colabello.

Our models currently project Ravin to face 28 batters this season, recording a 9.64 ERA and 17.9 strikeout percentage in the process.
