Dodgers shopping Alex Guerrero
The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to trade third baseman/outfielder Alex Guerrero, according to Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal.
The Dodgers have a full outfield and a cheaper utility option in Enrique Hernandez, which makes Guerrero expendable. Rosenthal suggests Guerrero would best fit within the American League. The 29 year-old has a $5 million base salary for the 2016 season.
Guerrero posted just a .297 wOBA in 230 plate appearances last season, although he did hit 11 home runs and have a solid .201 Isolated Power. He needs to improve on his walk rate, which was a measly 3.0 percent in 2015.
