J.D. Martinez (groin) on Boston's bench Wednesday
Boston Red Sox designated hitter J.D. Martinez (groin) is not starting on Wednesday versus right-hander Jeff Samardzija and the San Francisco Giants.
Martinez made an early exit from Tuesday's 15-inning loss to the Giant after experiencing tightness in his groin. Consider him day-to-day. Christian Vazquez is at DH and the cleanup spot Wednesday for the Red Sox.
Martinez is averaging 12.9 FanDuel points in 138 games this season.
