Eloy Jimenez scratched Thursday for White Sox with sore hip, Adam Engel enters lineup
Chicago White Sox left fielder Eloy Jimenez has been scratched from Thursday's lineup against the Texas Rangers with mild hip soreness.
Jimenez is considered day-to-day. Adam Engel is now starting in center field and hitting ninth while Leury Garcia is covering left. James McCann is in the five-hole.
Jimenez is hitting .241/.293/.471 with 22 home runs and 52 RBI in 364 plate appearances (90 games) in his first season in the majors.
