Carlos Correa (back) lands on Astros' IL
The Houston Astros placed shortstop Carlos Correa on the 10-day injured list with back discomfort.
It's Correa's second stint on the IL this season. He sat out Tuesday after making an early exit on Monday. The Astros are expected to call up Myles Straw on Wednesday in a corresponding roster move. Jack Mayfield started at shortstop on Tuesday for Houston.
Correa is hitting .278/.358/.556 with 19 homers and 56 RBI in 310 plate appearances (72 games) this season.
