Nomar Mazara lands on Rangers' IL with oblique strain

The Texas Rangers placed right fielder Nomar Mazara on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain.

What It Means:

Mazara suffered the injury during Monday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. It's not clear how much time he will miss. The Rangers called up infielder/outfielder Nick Solak from Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding roster move. Hunter Pence is starting in right field on Tuesday afternoon.

Mazara is slashing .268/.318/.466 with 17 homers, 27 doubles, 62 RBI, 4 steals, and 65 scores in 443 plate appearances (109 games) this season.
