Pirates' Jose Osuna beginning 5-game suspension Wednesday
Pittsburgh Pirates infielder/outfielder Jose Osuna is beginning his 5-game suspension on Wednesday.
The suspension stems from Osuna's involvement in a benches-clearing brawl between the Pirates and Cincinnati Reds on July 30. Josh Bell is moving to first base in place of Osuna on Wednesday versus left-hander Dillon Peters and the Los Angeles Angels. Elias Diaz is at designated hitter.
Osuna is hitting .317/.358/.618 with 8 homers, 13 doubles, and 26 RBI in 135 plate appearances (58 games) this season.
