Garrett Cooper (hamstring) out Wednesday for Marlins
Miami Marlins first baseman/right fielder Garrett Cooper is out of Wednesday's lineup against the Minnesota Twins due to a tight left hamstring.
Cooper suffered the injury on Tuesday while running down the first baseline on a groundout in the bottom of the first inning. He was replaced by Martin Prado before the top of the third and is now considered day-to-day. Neil Walker is moving to first base Wednesday in place of Cooper.
Cooper is hitting .294 with a .834 OPS in 276 plate appearances (68 games) this season.
