Matt Chapman exits Athletics' game with sore ankle
Oakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman made an early exit from Wednesday's game against the Seattle Mariners due to a sore ankle.
It's not exactly clear when Chapman suffered the injury, though he did foul off back-to-back pitches in the first inning. Chad Pinder moved to third base in place of Chapman, with Robbie Grossman entering in left field off the bench.
Chapman is batting .279/.363/.552 with 22 home runs, 25 doubles, 59 RBI, and 63 runs scored in 405 plate appearances this season.
