Rangers' Hunter Pence aggravates groin in rehab
Texas Rangers designated hitter/outfielder Hunter Pence aggravated his groin injury during a rehab game Monday with Double-A Frisco.
Pence was expected to rejoin the Rangers on Wednesday and he was voted in as the designated hitter for the American League in next week's All-Star Game, but now it's not clear when he will be active. The 36-year-old last played for Texas on June 16.
Pence was hitting .294/.353/.608 with 15 home runs, 14 doubles, 48 RBI, 44 runs scored, and 3 steals across 215 plate appearances this season.
