Jake Bauers (ankle) scratched Monday for Indians, Mike Freeman enters lineup

Cleveland Indians utility player Jake Bauers has been scratched from Monday's lineup versus the Kansas City Royals due to a left ankle sprain.

What It Means:

Bauers suffered the injury while catching fly balls during batting practice. Mike Freeman is now starting in left field and batting ninth versus Royals righty Brad Keller.
