Twins place Byron Buxton (wrist) on injured list
The Minnesota Twins placed outfielder Byron Buxton on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to June 15, with a right wrist contusion.
Buxton hasn't played since being hit in the wrist by a pitch last Friday. He took some swings in the batting cage Monday, so he may be ready to return when first eligible. The Twins recalled Jake Cave from Triple-A Rochester in a corresponding roster move.
Buxton owns a .266/.324/.527 batting line with 9 home runs, 21 doubles, 38 RBI, 40 runs scored, and 10 steals across 227 plate appearances this season.
