White Sox place Welington Castillo (oblique) on 10-day IL
The Chicago White Sox placed Welington Castillo on the 10-day injured list with a strained left oblique.
Castillo made an early exit from Sunday's contest against the New York Yankees and is now on the shelf for an undetermined amount of time. The White Sox purchased the contract of catcher Zack Collins from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding roster move. Collins will likely backup James McCann while Castillo is out.
Castillo owns a .196/.289/.364 slash line with 15 home runs, 5 RBI, and 7 runs scored in 121 plate appearances for the White Sox this season.
