Reds' Scooter Gennett (groin) cleared for rehab
Cincinnati Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett (groin) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Dayton on Monday.
Gennett has been out all season after suffering a severe groin injury late in spring training, so he will likely require an extended rehab stint. The 29-year-old has been limited to simulated games at the Reds' spring training complex until now.
numberFire's models project Gennett for a .270 batting average with 9 homers, 14 doubles, 38 RBI, and 36 runs scored this season.
