Yankees reportedly acquire Edwin Encarnacion from Seattle on Saturday
The New York Yankees have agreed to a deal with the Seattle Mariners to acquire first baseman Edwin Encarnacion on Saturday.
What It Means:
Encarnacion will head to New York with the Mariners' front office considering a fire sale. Look for the slugging first baseman to handle designated hitting duties with the Yankees.
In 241 at-bats this season, Encarnacion is hitting .241 with 21 home runs and 49 RBI.
