Giants put Buster Posey (hamstring) on injured list
The San Francisco Giants placed catcher Buster Posey on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to June 2, with a right hamstring strain.
Posey hasn't played since making an early exit from Saturday's game. It sounds like he may only miss the required 10 days before returning. Stephen Vogt figures to draw the majority of starts at catcher in the meantime, with Aramis Garcia backing him up.
Posey is slashing .257/.321/.408 with 3 home runs, 18 RBI, and 18 runs scored in 168 plate appearances (46 games) this season.
