Khris Davis (hip) not hitting Athletics' injured list yet
Oakland Athletics designated hitter Khris Davis (hip) will not be placed on the injured list Wednesday.
What It Means:
The Athletics want to see if Davis' lingering injury subsides following multiple days off, rather than being forced to miss a minimum of 10 days on the IL. They're also awaiting results from the MRI that the veteran slugger underwent on Wednesday morning. Davis has been bothered by the injury since the first week of May and was forced to make an early exit from Tuesday's contest. Mark Canha is in the DH spot for Oakland on Wednesday afternoon against the Cleveland Indians.
Davis is batting .248/.318/.497 with 12 homers and 29 RBI through 173 plate appearances this season.
