Update: Dee Gordon on Mariners' injured list with wrist contusion
The Seattle Mariners placed second baseman Dee Gordon on the 10-day injured list with a right wrist contusion.
What It Means:
Shed Long was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding roster move. Gordon's batting average has dropped from .304 to .281 since he was hit on the wrist by a pitch on May 9.
Gordon is slashing .281/.310/.369 with 3 homers, 19 RBI, 16 runs scored, and 12 steals through 173 plate appearances this season.
