Nelson Cruz (wrist) sitting for Twins Monday
Minnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz (wrist) is not starting in Monday's series opener versus left-hander Tyler Skaggs and the Los Angeles Angels.
Cruz was scheduled to undergo an MRI on his left wrist Monday after making an early exit from Sunday's contest with an injury. Mitch Garver is filling in at DH for Monday's opener while C.J. Cron hops up to the three-hole.
Cruz is batting .270/.354/.508 with 7 homers, 9 doubles, 22 RBI, and 19 runs scored through 144 plate appearances.
