Giants option Dereck Rodriguez to Triple-A on Saturday
San Francisco Giants pitcher Dereck Rodriguez was sent down to Triple-A on Saturday.
What It Means:
Rodriguez will pitch in the minors after recently struggling with his command in Friday's start. Expect the 26-year old to return to the majors at some point this season.
In 41 innings pitched this season, Rodriguez produced a 5.05 ERA and 28 strikeouts.
