Hunter Dozier (back) sidelined Tuesday for Kansas City
Kansas City Royals third baseman Hunter Dozier (back) is out of Tuesday's lineup versus the Tampa Bay Rays.
Dozier was lifted from Monday's game due to lower back spasms, which is why he has been in the designated hitter spot the past two games, rather than third base. Lucas Duda is playing DH on Tuesday and Chris Owings is on the hot corner again.
Dozier is batting .324/.430/.676 with 7 home runs, 12 RBI, and 12 runs scored in 86 plate appearances this season.
