Hyun-Jin Ryu (groin) expected to return to Dodgers' rotation within the week
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu (groin) is expected to return to the rotation within the week.
Ryu was put on the IL on April 9 but appears likley to miss minimal time. He threw a 50-pitch bullpen session on Monday and looked good enough for the Dodgers to forgo a rehab appearance for Ryu. When he returns, he will take the starting spot of either Julio Urias or Ross Stripling.
Ryu has posted a 3.07 ERA and 0.89 WHIP with 14 strikeouts in 14 2/3 innings pitched so far this season.
