Justin Upton (toe) to start the season on the Angels' injured list

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Justin Upton (toe) has been diagnosed with turf toe and will start the season on the injured list.

What It Means:

The diagnosis is a positive one as there is not a more serious injury for Upton, leaving the outfielder out likely just a couple of weeks. His absence will likely put Peter Bourjos in the starting lineup come Opening Day.

Before the injury our models projected Upton for 30 homers, 86 RBI, 10 steals, and a .258 average in 619 plate appearances this season.
