Angels' Justin Upton diagnosed with left toe sprain
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Justin Upton has been diagnosed with a sprain of the big toe on his left foot.
Upton left Sunday's exhibition game in the first inning after running into the wall. He had also been battling tendinitis in his knee all spring. His status for opening day is now in question.
Our models project Upton to hit .258 with 30 home runs and 86 RBIs in 619 plate appearances this season. He slashed .257/.344/.463 with 30 homers last year.
