Ronald Acuna to clean up for Braves in 2019
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna will begin the season in the cleanup spot, manager Brian Snitker announced.
Acuna primarily led off for the Braves during last year's rookie campaign, but Snitker believes the 21-year-old is "a run-producer" and has "a chance to drive in a lot of runs" in the middle of the order. The skipper added that Acuna will be "free to run all he wants." Ender Inciarte will handle leadoff duties against right-handers and Ozzie Albies will be at the front of the line versus southpaws.
numberFire's models expect Acuna to bat .277 with 29 home runs, 88 RBI, 98 runs scored, and 23 steals across 646 plate appearances this season.
