Rangers' Mike Minor will not face any innings or pitch restrictions in 2019
Texas Rangers starting pitcher Mike Minor will not have is pitch count or innings limited in 2019, per manager Chris Woodward.
Minor made 28 starts in 2018 but threw over 100 pitches just 3 times and pitched on 6 days rest 10 times. The Rangers were cautious with Minor after he tossed only 77 2/3 innings from 2015-17 due to shoulder issues. Minor is expected to be the 'ace' of the rebuilding Rangers pitching staff in 2019.
Our models project Minor for a 4.07 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 152 strikeouts in 170 1/3 innings pitched in 2019.
