Kyle Hendricks leads Cubs to 2-0 win
The Marlins' offense was no match for Kyle Hendricks Sunday afternoon, as he tossed 7.1 innings of shutout baseball, striking out six while allowing five hits and a walk. He picked up his fourth win of the season.
What It Means:
After a shaky start to the season, Hendricks is getting closer and closer to getting back to his 2014 numbers. He now has a 3.82 ERA and 3.48 xFIP. He's now gone 13.1 innings in July without giving up a run. He'll face the White Sox at home in his next start and has a lot of upside.
