Steve Pearce on first base for Boston Monday night
Boston Red Sox utility option Steve Pearce is starting in Game 3 of the American League Divison Series versus the New York Yankees on Monday.
Pearce will replace Mitch Moreland (hamstring) at first base and bat seventh versus Yankees right-hander Luis Severino. He went 1-for-3 with 1 RBI, 2 walks, and 1 run scored in the first two games of the series.
