New York Yankees outfielder Andrew McCutchen is playing left field and leading off against the Oakland Athletics in Wednesday's Wild Card Game.
McCutchen will handle leadoff duties versus Athletics "opener" Liam Hendriks. After being acquired from the San Francisco Giants on August 31, McCutchen slashed .253/.421/.471 with 5 home runs, 10 RBI, and 18 runs scored in 25 games for the Yankees. Brett Gardner will be available off the bench Wednesday.
