Freddie Freeman resting for Braves in Thursday's series finale
Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman is out of Thursday's starting lineup against the New York Mets.
Ryan Flaherty will replace Freeman at first base and bat eighth versus Mets left-hander Jason Vargas. It appears to be a routine breather for the 29-year-old first baseman.
Freeman is averaging 11.7 FanDuel points per game this season, while slashing .308/.386/.502 with 23 home runs, 95 RBI, 94 runs scored, and 10 steals across 694 plate appearances.
