5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 4/11/16

Adam Lind has a great matchup tonight against Colby Lewis and the Rangers. What other hitters can give you great value in daily fantasy today?

Building daily fantasy baseball lineups can be intimidating. On any given slate, you have a massive number of options in front of you and a ton of factors to consider.

We're here to help take some of that burden off and break down some hitters who you can slot into your lineup for nice and cheap, while still being well-positioned to provide your lineup with solid fantasy production.

Let's take a look at where we can find value on today's slate.

Adam Lind, 1B, Seattle Mariners

FanDuel price: $2,300

Adam Lind is a really inexpensive way to get exposure to big home run upside tonight.

Colby Lewis' 1.31 home runs per nine innings is the highest mark among any pitcher on the slate, and he has struggled against lefties in his career, allowing a .355 wOBA.

Lind has some really extreme splits by pitcher handedness and has done by far his best work against right-handed pitchers through his career, with a .369 wOBA and .216 ISO.

Ryan Zimmerman, 1B, Washington Nationals

FanDuel Price: $2,800

Oddsmakers give the Nationals the second-highest implied total on the slate tonight, and Washington should produce some solid offense against Bud Norris and the Braves. Norris' career 3.97 SIERA is below average among tonight's starters, and he sports the third-highest walk rate of pitchers in action tonight.

While Ryan Zimmerman does his best work against lefties, he still hits right-handers well, with a .344 wOBA and .189 ISO in his career. Hitting fourth for one of the most promising offenses of the night, Zimmerman's price of $2,800 makes him an absolute bargain for a hitter as good as he is.

Preston Tucker, OF, Houston Astros

FanDuel Price: $2,500

Back at home, expect Preston Tucker to be in the lineup as the designated hitter for Houston tonight.

The Royals will be starting Chris Young on the mound. Young has the third-lowest career strikeout rate among starters on the slate, the third-highest walk rate and the third-highest home runs per nine.

Young performs worse against lefties, and Tucker was outstanding against right-handed pitching as a rookie last year, with a .349 wOBA and .241 ISO, and has already hit 2 home runs in 13 plate appearances against righties this season.

Curtis Granderson, OF, New York Mets

FanDuel Price: $3,100

Curtis Granderson is coming off of one of the better seasons of his career, hitting for a .357 wOBA and .198 ISO. He has also always hit right-handed pitching really well, with a career .384 wOBA and .225 ISO.

He'll get plenty of opportunities hitting leadoff tonight against right-hander Jarred Cosart. We don't have a huge sample size on Cosart to draw from, but his numbers have not been great, and he's sporting a 4.60 SIERA, a 14.9 percent strikeout rate and a 10.8 percent walk rate.

Michael Conforto, OF, New York Mets

FanDuel Price: $2,500

Michael Conforto is another hitter who offers great value against Cosart. Cosart's has the worst numbers of any of today's starting pitchers, and it's nice to be able to attack that with more than one cheap bat.

Conforto was very good against right-handers in his rookie season, producing a .370 wOBA and .251 ISO in 193 plate appearances. Variance may have been on his side a bit there, as he had a pretty high home run to fly ball ratio, but his 41.9 percent hard hit rate and 40.4 percent fly ball rate are really encouraging and have me more than happy to target him against Cosart.
