4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 4/9/16

Mark Reynolds offers big home run upside at Coors Field tonight. Who else can give you big fantasy value?

Building daily fantasy baseball lineups can be intimidating. On any given slate, you have a massive number of options in front of you and a ton of factors to consider.

We're here to help take some of that burden off and break down some hitters who you can slot into your lineup for nice and cheap, while still being well-positioned to provide your lineup with solid fantasy production.

Let's take a look at where we can find value on today's slate.

Corey Dickerson, OF, Tampa Bay Rays

FanDuel Price: $3,200

Corey Dickerson draws a perfect matchup on paper tonight. He's against a pitcher in Mike Wright, who, through the small sample of Major League action he's seen, has struggled against lefties, allowing a .392 wOBA.

Dickerson is a lefty that absolutely crushes right-handed pitching, with a career .399 wOBA and .267 ISO. He's also playing in a pretty ideal park, as Camden Yards has allowed the third most home runs to left-handed hitters over the last five seasons.

Mark Reynolds, 1B, Colorado Rockies

FanDuel Price: $3,000

I've been chomping at the bit to get to write up a value play at Coors, and here we are. For the uninitiated -- you target hitters at Coors field. You don't think too hard about it, you just do. If you do want to think about it, Coors Field sees over eight percent more total bases hit than any other park in the Majors.

Drew Pomeranz is on the mound for the Padres tonight, and while he's in the middle of the pack in terms of stats among todays' pitchers, he's in a nightmare of a ballpark, and he also struggles a bit with righties, allowing a .340 wOBA.

Mark Reynolds is a nice cheap way to get exposure to the Rockies, and has been very good against lefties in his career, hitting a .349 wOBA, .225 ISO and a 43.6 percent fly ball rate. That is exactly the kind of thing you want from someone hitting in Colorado.

Colby Rasmus, OF, Houston Astros

FanDuel Price: $3,000

Colby Rasmus had me all excited to play him yesterday, and ended up getting the day off for rest. He should be back tonight, though, and has yet another great matchup.

He has crushed right-handed hitting through his career, boasting a .338 wOBA and a .212 ISO, and he's against a very hittable righty tonight in Wily Peralta. Peralta's career 4.16 SIERA is the fourth highest among starters on the slate, while his 16.4 strikeout rate is the third lowest, and he allows a .351 career wOBA to lefties.

The icing on the cake for Rasmus is that he's hitting in Miller Park tonight, which has seen the fourth most home runs to lefties over the last five seasons. He's a major threat to go yard tonight.

Salvador Perez, C, Kansas City Royals

FanDuel Price: $2,800

Salvador Perez isn't going to blow anyone away with his stats, but if you look at his career splits against lefties, he sports some reasonable numbers, with a .327 wOBA, .173 ISO and 10.3 percent strikeout rate.

He has a favorable matchup against Tommy Milone tonight, who has the third highest career SIERA and second highest home runs per nine among the slate's starting pitchers. He struggles most with right-handed hitters.
