On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

Robbie Ray ($8,800 on FanDuel): With only one pitcher cracking $10k, most of tonight's top arms hover in the mid-range, with Robbie Ray arguably checking in as one of the better values. Carrying a 29.7% strikeout rate and 12.4% walk rate, few represent the idea of being "effectively wild" as much as Ray, who is often maddening to roster despite his obvious upside. Ray has managed just one quality start over eight outings, walking at least three batters five times. Still, we're drawn here for the punchouts, and his matchup is favorable against the Pirates. Dating back to the start of last season, Pittsburgh's active roster has struggled versus southpaws, ranking 25th in wOBA (.298) and 27th in ISO (.137) with the 10th-highest strikeout rate (23.2%). They also have the seventh-lowest walk rate (7.7%), which should hopefully help Ray avoid his normal walk issues and pitch deeper into the game. No, he's not the easiest guy to trust, but on a slate with no standout arm, dropping down to him may be the way to go.
