FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 4/16/19

Tyler Glasnow looks like the real deal this season and in is an excellent spot versus Baltimore. Who else is worth investing in on Tuesday night?

FanDuel is moving lock up to 6:35pm ET to incorporate the two earlier games, meaning we have all 30 teams in action on Tuesday's main slate. That gives us a little bit of everything on tonight's board, and whittling down your list of favorite pitchers could be a particularly daunting task in tournaments. The sheer number of teams also means plenty of stacking options on offense, including another potential high-scoring affair between the Rangers and Angels.

Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

Tyler Glasnow ($10,600 on FanDuel): Stephen Strasburg ($10,900) has been a mixed bag through three starts, but he's still getting whiffs and draws a fantastic matchup at home against a woeful Giants lineup that's posted a 52 wRC+ and 24.9% strikeout rate in the early going. He's a strong play for sure, but Tyler Glasnow gets an equally enticing matchup versus the Orioles and has been straight dealing to begin 2019. A tantalizing talent who has teased at bigger things since he was a top prospect and showed promising signs at the end of last season, Glasnow owns a fantastic 2.78 SIERA, 32.8% strikeout rate, and 13.5% swinging-strike rate through his three outings. Best of all, issuing free passes has always been his Achilles' heel, and he's posted just a 4.7% walk rate to this point, less than half his career rate (12.0%). Among active rosters, Baltimore's produced the lowest wRC+ against righties in 2018 while striking out 25.2% of the time. With a slate-low 3.20 implied total, they don't figure to put up much resistance tonight, and Glasnow should continue to keep his hot start going.
